Healthy Workplace Outcomes

Three Principles to Guide the Development of Measures and Evaluation Procedures *

  1. Use measures that capture both outcomes (I.e. reduced sick days, higher job satisfaction) and processes (e.g. employee assessments of effectiveness of communications, evaluation of supportive supervision).
  2. Use internal data to establish baseline conditions and track progress
  3. Use external benchmarking to track progress - this involves looking at other organizations for leading practices and adapting relevant lessons and outcome targets.
